The day before Halloween we went to a party at a friends house in the morning. The girls enjoyed dressing up! On Halloween they loved passing out candy to the neighbors. Kiera took ownership of the candy bowl! Grandma Kathy came over too and the girls had fun passing out candy to her over and over. :) At the end of the trick or treat we took Belle to just a couple houses on our street. She thought that was pretty neat!

1st day of preschool
Isabelle had a great one hour at preschool on Wednesday. She was super excited at home and kept asking if it was time to go to school yet.Kevin and I (and Kiera) walked her in the building and helped (well, she didn't need help) her put her backpack and rain coat in her locker. Mrs. Hannah came and gave her a big hug and said that she was excited to see her. It was really sweet! The teachers had the kids all walk in the classroom together. Isabelle was nervous but did not get upset at all. I, on the other hand, started crying....yes, I am one of "those" moms. I stopped by the time we got to the front door and she did not see the tears so it was fine. :) I just cant believe what a big girl she is! Friday morning she goes from 8:15-10:55 and she is excited to go back!
Showing daddy her new Fancy Nancy shoes. I was getting teary when she was all dressed...seriously, she looks like she is ready for kindergarten. Such a big girl!
"Is it time to go yet?"We had a rainy start to the day...
Starting to get nervous...
Standing by her locker with her buddy Nicholas. :)
hanging up her backpack in her locker. Big girl!Mrs. Hannah walking Isabelle to the van.She had so much to tell me through the day about her one hour of preschool! Mrs. Hannah gave the kids a lollipop when they were leaving which was of course a big treat for her!

August
August has been full of sun and fun so far. We have kept busy playing with friends, going to parks, swimming at magic waters and playing on our new swing set. Kiera loves to play in the water but not so much a fan of sprinklers. She loves to go on slides and is busy exploring using her walking skills. She eats just about anything and is always ready for more. She has become territorial over toys and her mommy...Isabelle has seen the wrath of Kiera. Her favorite word is "Hi" but has also said (at least once) "head", "done", "on", "hat", "hot", ma-ma, da-da, nigh-nigh. She did a somersault on the bed at the hotel in FL and tried to do one again when Isabelle was doing them...she likes to climb, "marches" like big sister, dances and can finally ride the ride on toys...even though it is only backwards. She still loves her purses and babies. :)
Isabelle is busier than ever...she is always on the move. She still loves to look at books, ride her big girl bike, swing on the big girl swings and zoom down the slides. She is more eager to try things that she once may have feared. She loves to play with her friends and to be outside and enjoys water fun! She loves-loves-loves her sister and is excited Kiera can "play" a little with her. The soon to be 4 year old is always using her imagination and makes me laugh through out the day. She likes to use big words, which is the cutest thing ever coming out of her mouth!, like "actually" - "realized"-"investigate" and "but of course, mommy". :) Isabelle starts preschool three days a week at the end of August. We are excited to see what that brings!
Water fun
This is how we made the jogging stroller a double for a tired Belle.
The girls are big fans of corn on the cob...so cute!
Kelly and Kiera :)
Kelly and Brent came up for a visit at the beginning of July. It was so nice to see them!

New York : Saturday
On Saturday Lisa had to work so the girls and I hung out exploring the streets by her apartment, visiting Barnes & Noble and having lunch on the sidewalk by Lisa's apartment. Cement picnics can be just as fun as grass ones...just a little more uncomfortable for adults. :) When Lisa got home we went out to dinner, got Belle ice cream and then headed to the promenade to see the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge. There was plenty of room for the girls to run around too which they really needed to do.so silly!I tried to get them to walk hand and hand...not quite yet but still very cute.Kiera wanted to stop at every step and climb...Belle took this picture of Kiera and myself - pretty good. :)
