Trick or Treat

It was so beautiful outside this afternoon. We played for a while until Daddy came home and Grandma Kathy came over.

This is the mode of transportation for 3 year old nurses...
Could they be any cuter? :)

Grandma Kathy was dressed at a pirate. Isabelle was very interested in the bird in grandmas front pocket. She said "I don't have a bird like that".

Daddy and Isabelle waiting for trick or treaters. Isabelle was very into passing out the candy this year. We gave bubbles to the little kids and candy to the older ones. Daddy said I have a hard time telling which ones are little and Isabelle says "I can tell which ones are little, daddy".

Happy Halloween!

Isabelle was so excited the day her costume came in the mail that she had to try it on immediately.

On Monday morning our play group had a halloween party. There was a monkey, a monster, a bumblebee, a pumpkin, a giraffe, a Thomas the train and of course the nurse and the lady bug all showed for the party.

Nurse Belle playing in the cottage. Mommy and ladybug. :)

This morning we went to another halloween party for the moms club. Kiera went as a pumpkin this morning. The kids played a couple games, made a craft and went trick or treating in the yard. Everyone had a great time. After the party, the kids were able to play on the hosts swingset and guess what they had.... a giant trampoline! Isabelle had fun jumping on this beautiful day. It is suppose to be almost 70 today!!

Does she look tired or what??

Hey everyone - I go to gymnastics class all by myself now. Mommy watches in an area above us. Daddy came to watch me do gymnastics on Tuesday and he took lots of pictures.First we stretch, I am very focused. My friend Elizabeth is normally in our class too but she was sick this day.

Walking down the wobble board. (I might have more balance if I let go of my belly button. )
Hanging like a possom... well sort of. I was being silly. My head normally goes up to the bar. :)
I love to swing on the bars and I am really good at it!

I can even climb the rock wall!
Crawling like a kitty on the balance beam. I flipped over and fell off but I was ok. I heard mom gasp though. :)

When class is over Miss Brittany gives us two stamps. I like to get the stamps on my legs. :) Tomorrow we get to wear our costumes for class!

Kiera wanted to help do the laundry...

Isabelle walked in the room and thought it was hilarious that mommy put Kiera in the laundry basket. :)

SISTERS

Apple Orchard

We went to a small apple orchard with Holy Family on Friday. We went on a wagon ride through the apple trees. Isabelle said the tractor was "pretty noisy" but she was "pretty quiet". She is too funny! It was a little chilly so we were bundled up!

Mmmmmm..... The kids were able to get off the wagon and pick an apple from the tree. We decided to stay on the wagon (for fear of not being able to get back up again with Kiera in the Baby Bjorn) so someone handed up some apples. :)

After hearing about about how the apples are sorted & washed, the kids listened to apple stories and were given a donut. Yum!

Kiera was so exhausted from being outside that she didn't even make it out of the parking lot before she fell asleep.

Isabelle had fun playing dress up with mommy on Sunday. She is Fancy Nancy with a few alterations, such as the little oven mitt on her hand and the flower lei around her neck. :)

Kiera enjoys bathtime and even enjoys tummy time now.

Lisa was in Chicago to run the marathon so we went to visit her on Saturday. This is the view from her hotel room. She was on the 42nd floor and there was a huge glass window...I was a little nervous with Isabelle leaning on the glass and of course she loved the window!

We were starving by the time we met up with Lisa. We found a place called Noodles. So yummy! Isabelle couldn't even put her fork down to take a picture. She loved the mac & cheese!

After lunch, we walked down to Millenium Park to see the bean.

Isabelle tickling the bean. She almost ran into the bean several times... mommy was a little nervous about that! Isabelle did so well with all the people. She really loved being in the city!

Toyota was having a Tech thing at Millenium park.

We saw some gadgets and they also had a new hybrid car on display.

We went to the Crowns Fountain. It is a huge fountain that has a picture of someones face all done by LEDs. Water spits out of the persons mouth as their lips pucker. The eyes move too. Isabelle had so much fun running through the water. She was a little hesitant when a big boy splashed her (on purpose) but she bounced back pretty quickly.

Family Pictures

We had a friend take some pictures this weekend for us. It sure is difficult trying to get two kids and a dog to cooperate. Kiera was not interested (and really had no idea the camera was there) in looking and Isabelle would not stop moving while Silas kept looking for treats. Exhausting! Here are some of the ones that we thought were decent. :)
